Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct for Learners at Computing Summer Camp

The following list outlines the expected conduct of Summer Camp participants. All attendees are expected to:

  1. Respect Others: Treat fellow camp attendees, instructors, and campus staff with kindness and respect. Listen actively and engage in discussions thoughtfully.
  2. Be Responsible: Arrive on time for all sessions. Return on time after breaks. Take responsibility for your belongings and respect the property of others and the campus.
  3. Maintain a Positive Attitude: Approach challenges with an open mindset. Encourage your peers and contribute to a supportive camp environment.
  4. Follow Instructions: Adhere to the guidelines provided by instructors and session leaders. Ask questions if you are unsure about any rules or tasks.
  5. Practice Digital Etiquette: Use technology responsibly. Respect the equipment provided to you. Be mindful of your use of the computers provided to you. They are made available to session content, not for other purposes.
  6. Embrace Diversity: Celebrate the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of your peers. Foster an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.
  7. Have Fun and Learn: Engage fully in all activities, be open to new experiences, and make the most of your time at the camp!

Camp organisers and session leaders will expect the adherence to this code of conduct. If it is found that partcipants are not followng the Code, their guardians may be contacted and may be sent home.
